Witness — Contribute lived experience from inside a question — what it is actually like. Researcher — Bring evidence, sources, methods, and honest summaries into the Knowledge Grove. Imagineer — Propose designs and possibilities in enough detail to be argued with. Maker — Build, prototype, weld, wire, code, model, and test what has been proposed. Steward — Care for the conditions of the work — facilitation, governance, records, hospitality. Partner — Bring an institution, utility, cooperative, tribe, county, firm, or campus to the table. Funder — Resource feasibility studies, pilots, and the publication of what is learned. Learner — Follow the work closely, ask good questions, and carry the findings elsewhere.
