Lived experience, offered as knowledge.
Before a problem can be designed for, it has to be heard. The listening fields gather what people know because they have lived it.
Data describes a landscape from above. Testimony describes it from inside. Both are needed, and one is usually missing.
A listening field entry is an account of something you have witnessed or carried: a place changing, a system failing or working, a practice passed down, a cost nobody counted.
